Delete your account

You can ask us to close your WeChant account and remove your personal data at any time. Here's how to do it and exactly what happens.

How to request deletion

Option 1 — in the app (fastest)

Sign in, then go to Settings → Account and choose Delete my account. You'll confirm with your password and your account enters a 14-day grace period before it's permanently removed.

Can't sign in? Email us from the address registered to your account and ask us to delete it. We'll verify it's you and action the request.

What happens to your data

Removed for good

Your name, email, phone number and social links.
Your password — the account can no longer be signed into.
Your personal setlists and your match check-ins (including location data).
Your browsing history on the app.

Kept, but no longer linked to you

Chants and recordings you contributed stay on WeChant for the wider community, and votes you cast still count — but they're shown as coming from “Former WeChant Fan”, with no way to trace them back to you. This anonymisation is permanent and irreversible.

The 14-day grace period

After you request deletion there's a 14-day window during which you can sign back in and cancel. Once the 14 days pass, the anonymisation runs automatically and cannot be undone.
